I don’t know much about planets going into retrograde, but I do try to listen when my friends warn me about it. Especially if it’s Mercury, somehow connected to my astrological chart.

I will occasionally remember to read my horoscope but what do I know? Well, this week I’ve learned more about retrograde Mercury than I thought was personally possible.

Let’s start with good intentions and the Sun about to go into a full eclipse. I purchased a bigger zoom lens for my digital camera through an online distributor thinking it was a great idea. It would have been had it not arrived inoperable.

I spent a lot of time in a local camera store knowing I would not purchase another lens until I was credited for the one I just sent back. Instead, I decided to work with what I had. I purchased a used tripod they sold me since I’d forgotten mine at home.

Right now, I think I’m lucky I remembered to pack my camera. I did not, however, capture the photos I desired of the amazing eclipse.

I captured semi-amazing photos of the sunlight and clouds instead.

Next a virus somehow wiggled into my computer causing all sorts of blips, and irritating changes when I use it. Okay, this is a lesson in getting to know…
