A Poem

I thought I knew

What everyone else knew I didn’t know,

but I knew I knew what I knew

When I was told I didn’t know

and that I only thought I knew

I thought of knowing what I thought I knew

If no one else knew what I knew

I didn’t have to worry about

not knowing what I knew

Yet, what if I didn’t know?

Then I wouldn’t know what I thought I knew,

I would only have thought I knew

and then think I didn’t know

But I know I knew

When someone says you don’t know,

but you know you do,

it’s easy to say you know when you know

what you know when you know it

So, if anyone ever tells you that you don’t know

tell them I know,

or at least you think you do

Then they will know that you know

That they think you don’t know

What you know

And that they really don’t know

What you do
